Monday Night Football preview:

-Philadelphia Eagles @ Atlanta Falcons

So much has already been made about the donovan McNabb-Terrell Owens saga, that I can't really add anything new. Owens is a nutball, plain and simple. He loves himself so much, he wishes there were 2 of him, so he could date himself. The amount of self-importance he has is amazing. Ultimately, it will disrupt whatever sort of karmic balance there could be, and it will be the un-doing of this team at some point. Not much has been seen lately. So will he keep quiet for the rest of the season, or will there be other things that sprout up as it rolls along? I will bet that if there is one more disruption from Owens, they'll cut him loose. they may not have any talent to replace him, but whatever talent he has is negated and exceeded by the negative atmosphere he brings to the team.

And that's the worst part, because that is prety much the case. The eagles don't ahve alot of talent beyond him and McNabb. together, they could win a Super Bowl. They almost did last year. They are 2 of the best at their positions. But if they cannot work together, it is a waste of a once-in-a-lifetime oppurtunity. What is your goal? is it to win a Super Bowl, or is it to put your needs and desires ahead of everyone else on the team?

I like McNabb. I wish he was on my team. Given a team of my own, He'd be the QB I want to lead it. Well, that or Tom Brady. Michigan Guy. Maybe you've heard of him.

Meanwhile, on the other side you have Michael vick, who seems to have lost his luster He hasn't grown beyond his initial flair of running around and throwing the ball deep with his rocket arm. I am not one of those guys who says he has to STAY in the pocket, and take hits to be a QB. But his ability to read defenses, and be an accurate Qb needs some major work. HIs scrambling ability is well documneted. But when it comes to throwing the ball...it can be ugly sometimes. Tonight we will see how well he has grown in the off-season. Considering the talent and depth on the Eagles defense, I don't see it going well. The Eagles have a young and pro-bowl caliber secondary at every position, the defensive line was talented enough to let Pro Bowl DT Corey Simon go, and the cheerleaders are quite possibly the best in the league.

They may not be on the gridiron, but they find their own way to contribute.

What about the linebackers? Screw 'em! Look at the cheerleaders!

The Eagles defense should effectively neutralize the Falcons offense, and IF THEY GET ALONG, the offense might struggle with the speed of the Falcon's D, but ultimately should come out ahead.

Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
